After the hit TV comedy series Seinfeld, Jerry Seinfeld created the variety talk show Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.
The format for the variety talk show Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee is as you might expect. Jerry Seinfeld picks up a guest comedian in a classic car. Jerry interviews the comedian while driving around the city in the car. Jerry and the guest comedian stop for a coffee and continue the interview. And then they go back to the car to drive and talk for another short segment.
The series originally streamed only on Crackle, and Jerry’s fame helped boost awareness for Crackle and helped the growth of this new Internet streaming network. Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee spent 9 years on Crackle, and then moved to Netflix for its 10th season.
