TiVo Hires A New CEOTiVo has a lot going on these days. TiVo just released the new TiVo BOLT VOX and will soon release a next generation user interface called TiVo Hydra. And now TiVo hires a new CEO. Enrique Rodriguez is TiVo’s new president and CEO. Rodriguez has held senior positions at AT&T, SiriusXM, Microsoft’s Xbox and TV divisions, and Cisco Systems.

Rodriguez has decades of experience in the entertainment technology and media space. Most recently, he was executive vice president and chief technical officer of AT&T’s Entertainment Group, and his prior career includes executive positions within Sirius XM, Cisco Systems’ Service Provider Video Technology Group and Microsoft’s TV Division, as well as serving as vice president of Xbox Partnerships for Microsoft. Prior to Microsoft, Rodriguez spent more than 20 years serving in various engineering and executive positions at Thomson/RCA.

TiVo was recently acquired by Rovi Corporation on September 8, 2016 for $1.1 billion.

After the acquisition, the Rovi/TiVo company renamed itself to TiVo Corporation. While TiVo is widely known for its technology and patents, the company also provides data and analytics on trends and other information about the video and TV industry.
